Plein air/Rain day at the Jeffrey mansion

7/25/09

Today, as every Saturday, our Plein Air group meets for a morning of painting. The day started off with black clouds and torrential rains. I was expecting to stay home and paint in my studio when it suddenly cleared up as quick as it came. We met at the Jeffrey Mansion in Bexley. The mansion has some great architecture with gates and turrets. The grounds are beautiful with a mix of shaped hedges, multiple species of trees, and some flora. The rain held off and our group had a great time painting. There is something about fighting the elements or maybe you should say adjusting to them that makes the experience even more wonderful!
