I'm reading "The war of Art" by Steven Pressfield it talks about what holds us back from our creative genius or what gift we were given to give back to the world. This painting reminds me of that right now -the struggle between sky and land/ water- their resistance in coming together. Also, my resistance every day as I paint, the fear that creeps up that I will ruin what I've begun but there is that feeling also of anticipation that it might be better than what I first imagined. That drives me on!
