Frosted glass-winter is coming, the cold wind skews our view of what lies ahead.

I love, love love this process of painting on vellum- I did two similar paintings of an oil on canvas and worked on some different details on each.

Sometimes the negative space can be as dramatic as the positive. I was about to add more and decided I liked it the way it was.

Day 2 River walk

Resistance
This is my second attempt of painting on paper with oils and seeing what effects are created. This piece is another version of Momentum from into the grey series. It came out a little antique looking. I'm looking forward to my next piece in the River walk series.

River walk 1
My first day of painting on vellum. This series will be inspired from my afternoon walking along the river. This time of year I always love the colors in the landscape- there is something so simple yet beautiful about the grey in different hues. I love twigs and with the lack of leaves on the trees I can see them as they stretch out, turn and weave through the sky.
